Our trailers are packed with features and designed to be towable with virtually any vehicle, so you can pick up and take off to anywhere in the US for a weekend getaway or an extended road trip.

Pickup Location

MotoCamps is conveniently located in Waynesboro, Virginia–a 10-minute drive from Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway, and easily accessible from I-64 and I-81–so you can easily get to us from anywhere in the region.

We are also close to local resources where you can pick up last-minute gear and provisions. Rockfish Gap Outfitters, Basic City Brewery, Blue Ridge Bucha, and Wayne Cycle Shop are all within a short drive, so you can be sure to find everything you need for your trip.

We understand that not everyone has access to a suitable towing vehicle or you may prefer not to tow the trailer yourself. Whether you’re an avid adventure motorcycle rider seeking a hassle-free off-road experience, someone who wants to fully immerse themselves in the excitement of their journey, or even if you simply want the convenience of loading up the trailer at home, we’ve got you covered.

When it comes to picking up a rental trailer, we strive to provide a comprehensive experience that ensures you are fully equipped and confident for your adventure. Here’s how the process typically works:

  2. Scheduled Walkthrough: On the designated pickup day, you will visit our rental facility, where one of our knowledgeable staff members will guide you through a walkthrough session. This session typically lasts about an hour and covers all the important aspects of using the included gear and equipment.
  3. Gear and Equipment Explanation: During the walkthrough, our staff will explain in detail how to properly utilize the gear and equipment provided with the rental trailer. This may include instructions on setting up the tent, operating the cooking facilities, managing the power supply, and any other features specific to your trailer model.
  4. Trailer Operating/Towing Demo (Optional): If you are interested and would like further assistance, we can also provide a trailer operating/towing demo session. This session aims to familiarize you with the handling and towing aspects of the rental trailer, ensuring that you feel comfortable and confident while on the road.
  5. Q&A and Clarifications: Throughout the walkthrough and demo sessions, feel free to ask any questions or seek clarifications on any concerns you may have. Our staff is there to assist you and ensure that you have a thorough understanding of the rental trailer and its functionalities.

By offering these detailed walkthroughs and optional demo sessions, our goal is to empower you with the necessary knowledge and skills to make the most of your rental trailer. We want you to embark on your adventure fully prepared and confident in utilizing all the provided gear and equipment.

Absolutely! Even if you haven’t towed a trailer before, you can still pick up a rental trailer and have a successful experience. We understand that towing a trailer can feel intimidating if you’re not familiar with the process, which is why we offer assistance and guidance to ensure you feel confident and comfortable.

When you arrive for the trailer pickup, our knowledgeable staff will provide you with a thorough walkthrough session. This session typically lasts about an hour and covers all the necessary information and instructions on how to safely tow and operate the trailer.

During the walkthrough, our staff will explain key concepts such as hitching the trailer to your vehicle, adjusting the weight distribution, proper braking techniques, and general towing safety guidelines. They will also address any specific concerns or questions you may have.

Additionally, if you would like further assistance, we can even offer a trailer operating and towing demo session. This hands-on session allows you to practice towing the trailer under the guidance of our experienced staff, giving you an opportunity to become familiar with the handling and maneuvering aspects before hitting the road.

Our goal is to ensure that you have a positive and successful towing experience, regardless of your previous towing knowledge. We are here to support you every step of the way, providing the necessary guidance, instructions, and assistance to make your trailer pickup and towing journey as smooth as possible.

Here are a few additional tips:

  • Practice makes perfect. Before you set out on your trip, practice towing the trailer in a safe area. This will help you get used to the handling of the trailer and make sure that you are comfortable towing it.
  • Be aware of your surroundings. When you are towing a trailer, it is important to be aware of your surroundings. This includes paying attention to the weight of the trailer, the speed of the tow vehicle, and the condition of the road.
  • Take breaks. If you are towing a trailer for a long distance, it is important to take breaks. This will help to prevent fatigue and keep you safe on the road.
